Yin & Restore

These styles of yoga are highly introspective and interoceptive practices that allow us to slow down and tune in—whether we’re sinking deep into long-held stretches in yin or calming our nervous system in restore.

Myofascial Release

MFR is a self-massage practice that can help relieve tension, regulate the nervous system, and build body awareness. We use our hands as well as tools like tennis balls, blocks, and foam rollers to apply gentle pressure to our tissues.

Gentle Vinyasa

I offer slow, mindful flows that focus on mobility, breath, and body awareness. Sessions can be adapted for all bodies and abilities and done standing, seated, or lying down.

Who I Work With

I work with humans who are looking for tools to support their mental and physical health.* I specialize in movement and mindfulness practices that help calm our bodies and minds and regulate our nervous systems—ideal for those dealing with sleep issues, stress, anxiety, and/or feelings of being disconnected from their bodies and brains. I also work with individuals who are seeking more mobility, body awareness, and/or movement intelligence, including athletes and those recovering from injury.

Individual or small-group sessions are available in-person (SLC area) or virtually.

*Please note that this is not a replacement for medical or mental health care. I would be glad to refer you to other providers, such as physical therapists, physicians, and psychotherapists, to round out your care team!

About Emily

I first came to yoga as a physical practice to recover from a running injury, but after attending a few classes, my practice became a more integral part of my physical and emotional wellbeing. I completed my 200-hour training in Baptiste yoga in 2016 before falling in love with restorative and yin yoga and myofascial release. I love these slower, more introspective practices for their impacts on the nervous system, body awareness, and mental health.

I am an RYT-500 and a Yoga Medicine Certified Therapeutic Specialist. I also have extensive training in trauma-informed yoga and am an Accessible Yoga Ambassador.

My pronouns are she/her.

I’d love to practice with you.
